Here are some of the biggest recalls in January 2019, affecting everything from furniture to food.

Navien Condensing Tankless Water Heaters and Boilers

A kit in the tankless water heaters and boilers that help them convert to natural gas or propane can have an unintended side effect. Affecting about 3400 units, they can produce excessive carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide can pose a risk of poisoning to consumers with an affected unit. Contact the manufacturer for further details regarding replacement, repair, and further steps.

GNC Women’s Iron Complete Supplements

GNC issued a recall of their 60 caplet Women’s Iron Complete supplement because the blister packaging is not child-resistant, a mandate of federal law. Those who purchased a snowsuit online should receive an email with instructions regarding their refund or replacement.

Manhattan Toy Children’s Books

The toy company’s fabric book line has a metal grommet that can detach and pose a risk of choking. It affects nearly 1200 units sold in the United States. If you recently purchased a fabric children’s book from Manhattan Toys, contact the manufacturer for a full refund.

Children’s Robes from The Company Store

Manufacturers recently reported that their children’s robes failed to meet the federal flammability standard and could pose a risk to children. Consumers with robes from the Company Store should take them away immediately and contact the manufacturer to obtain instructions for a refund. They estimate about 13,000 units are affected.

Lotus Foods Ramen Noodle Soup

A version of the paper soup cup provides incorrect instructions for microwaving, which could lead to burn injuries. Affecting 239,000 customers, the soup maker recommends that consumers stop using the paper soup cups immediately and contact them about receiving a replacement.

Skip Hop Convertible High Chairs
